The Sweet Journey

Cupcake Vineyards really started with you {yes, you}. You and all the other non-pretentious wine drinkers out there who were looking for something that was hand crafted and good quality, not expensive or showy…just delicious. Cupcake wanted to be the people’s wine. A wine that you could enjoy anytime, anywhere, as your own personal reward. So thank you for the inspiration that started it all.

It was in 2008 that Cupcake shipped its first three Central California wines. These originals included our flagship Chardonnay and were exactly what we wanted. Each wine was honest and aromatic and came from good grapes and great winemaking. The Cupcake promise to live deliciously was crafted into every bottle.

In 2009 the awards started rolling in. James Laube of WineSpectator.com said, “You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better $13 Chardonnay than this Central Coast bottling.” More importantly, you all loved it too! And thanks again to you, Cupcake Vineyards received the Hot Brand Award as a tribute to the early success of these California wines. With that, winemaker Adam Richardson began to travel to the world’s best wine-growing regions and expanded the Cupcake Vineyards portfolio to include international wines.

Two years, countless awards and a million cases later, Cupcake Vineyards has 14 varietals, including two sparkling wines and the popular new blend: Red Velvet.

Still true to the principals that created its great wines, Cupcake now offers you Cupcake Vodka. As winemakers, we know the importance of using high quality, natural ingredients from start to finish. Like wine, truly good vodka comes only from truly good ingredients.

Cupcake Vodka delivers on all the promises of the Cupcake brand. The process of crafting the four vodka flavors has brought us back to when we started Cupcake Vineyards and reminded us why we do this. We do this for you {yes you again}. It was for all of us really, so we can all enjoy a reward that is not pretentious or expensive. Just delicious.
